Ramboll Environmental Appoints Senior Managing Consultants

Ramboll has appointed three new senior managing consultants to its London and Leeds practices. Graham Harker (Richard Wood), and Jeffrey Franklin are the new managers. They will each be responsible for overseeing a team that specializes in environmental risk management and impact assessments. Their combined experience will offer the firm a wealth of knowledge for its clients.

Richard Wood

Richard Wood, Ramboll Environmental’s chief executive officer, has more thirty years of civil engineering and consulting experience. His experience includes planning and design, environmental permitting, project management, and construction inspection. He also has experience in various projects such as wastewater treatment, potable drinking water treatment, energy and resource efficiency. His expertise also extends to project management and budget tracking.

Wood comes from the Environment Agency where he was a regulatory and environmental officer for over 20 years. The company also revealed the appointment of Dr Graham Harker to its Birmingham-based air quality team. These appointments will be the head of the UK environment practice at the company, which is seeing significant growth.

Wood has extensive federally-funded experience in a wide range of areas. His experience includes the preparation of specifications and studies for hazardous waste handling plants, as well as consulting services in facility design. He is a Florida Licensed Asbestos Consult and a Certified Professional Engineer.


Graham Harker

Ramboll has named six new senior staff members to its UK Environment team. These professionals will reside in the London offices, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, and Manchester offices. Richard Wood will join the new team as a senior management consultant. Previously, he was an Environment Agency Environment and Regulatory Officer, with 20 years' experience.

Rob Steer, a principal based in Manchester has been appointed by the firm. His extensive experience in safety management, CST and other areas will allow him to expand the company's offerings in this area. The new Principal will guide a variety clients. Philip Rogers will be joining the firm's senior management.

Jeffrey Franklin

Jeff Franklin has been promoted as senior managing consulting for Ramboll UK's environmental practice. He has been the Environment Agency's Environment and Regulator Officer for over 20 years. He has more then 20 years of environmental regulation experience and is well-versed in oil and gas projects. Franklin's new role includes responsibility for the UK air quality impact assessment.
